Bennett Carni is a San Diego based U.S. Navy veteran, published photographer, and music writer who has worked directly with artists, venues, festivals, and media outlets throughout the live music industry.

Photography has been part of Bennett’s life since childhood. His grandfather, Peter Carni, was a professional photographer whose work included photographing Bob Dylan. Bennett began shooting at a young age and continued developing his style through portraiture with friends in high school.

After leaving the Navy, Bennett began attending more live music and found a natural connection between photography and the concert community. Since going professional, he has photographed artists including Jack Harlow, Masego, Kamasi Washington, Evanescence, Afroman, and Channel Tres, along with major events such as Outside Lands Music Festival.

His photography has reached more than 100,000 unique viewers on Instagram, with his recent Jack Harlow coverage reaching more than 15,000 users in less than three days. Bennett also contributes photography and concert reviews to ListenSD, where his published work has generated tens of thousands of site visits.

His work focuses on capturing more than the performance itself. Bennett aims to preserve the energy, atmosphere, movement, and connection that make live music unforgettable.
